ɑ-Alkynyl-ω-Trimethoxysilyl PEGs
This PEG crosslinking reagent with a terminal alkyne functionality on one chain end reacts with azides under "Click" Chemistry conditions (for example Cu(I) catalyzed alkyne-azide cycloaddition, CuAAC) to form a stable triazole link between the two reaction partners. The trimethoxysilyl functionality allows the pegylation of a variety of surfaces (e.g. glass, metals) and introduces PEG on hydroxylated surfaces in a one step procedure. Compared to Triethoxysilyl- the Trimethoxysilyl-PEG is more reactive.
